NINA MOROVIC - SLIPPER METHOD
This slave never truly learns. he knows the rules. he has heard them, repeated them, absorbed them. and yet he keeps pushing the boundary, as if testing how far i am willing to go. today, i don’t chase him. i wait. standing still, gaze fixed on him. the slipper in my hand. i tap it slowly against my palm — sharp, steady, deliberate. there is no need to speak. the sound is enough. each strike against my hand becomes a countdown. a reminder. a warning that requires no explanation. he already knows. i see it in the way his eyes drop. in the way his breathing shifts. in the way he understands that this time there will be no discussion. i do not act out of anger. i act because i can. authority is not repeated endlessly. it is enforced. i hope this method finally works. that he learns to associate the sound with discipline. that he anticipates my will before i even move. and if he doesn’t… the rhythm will continue.
