Suffering is relative!  we look back on 2025 and say it was a crazy year,  hell, 2026 is starting even crazier,  but how do you think they felt in the early days of 2021?? and it's times like these when we really need family.  if we look back to the early days of covid, we recall how disruptive it was for people and families. there was so much craziness going on with the election and all that alicia just wanted her mom back so she can lie on her lap and be told everything would be ok. gary (her mom's new husband), breaks the news to her that her mom is stuck at the airport under quarantine because one of the baggage handlers tested positive, he doesn't know when she'll be able to get on a flight. gary does though offer to let alicia lie on his lap, and as you could imagine, with all the craziness going on and the need for some human contact, it leads to something that alicia never dreamed in a million years would ever happen!
