I called baby j from the sofa, “come here, sweetie, let’s check your diaper!” he came over and flopped down on his cozy blankie, surrounded by all his stuffed friends. i unbuttoned his onesie – snap, snap – and peeked inside. oh my! there was a very wet and messy diaper under his plastic pants! i unbuckled the plastic pants a little to take a look, but it was so full, it looked ready to burst! so i quickly fastened them back up. “let’s play for a bit,” i said, giving his diapered bottom a gentle pat.  we rolled around and giggled on the sofa, having lots of fun. but soon it was time for a change. “okay, let’s get that diaper taken care of,” i told him. we headed off to get him all fresh and clean!
