Cadence is always rushing around.  she is disorganized and always late to events.  today is no different.  she is rushing to get out the door when she trips over a bag that she left on the floor.  her foot catches onto the strap and she crashes to the floor on top of her ankle.  the pain is excruciating and she can feel it swelling up.  she tries to rub it, but it is really not helping.  cadence tries to get to her feet, but her ankle gives up and she falls back down and even in more pain now.  she begins to panic as now she will be even more late to her event.  cadence manages to get to her feet and stand but she cannot put any weight on it and sits back down on the floor and tries to bend and flex but it barely moves.  the swelling is getting worse, she knows it's sprained.   she manages to pull herself up to the bench to sit.  calms herself and tries again to stand to walk.  a few tiny steps and her ankle buckles in and she crashes to the floor again.  now it's really bad and she needs to call jamie to come and help her.  jamie rushes over and helps cadence off the floor and on the bench.  jamie examines her ankle, by bending, flexing, pointing and checking the bones, but she needs to remove her boot to really see what is going on.  cadence is scared as her ankle is so swollen and it's really going to hurt.  jamie tries to be slow and gentle when removing the boot.  jamie examines cadence's toes in her stockings and see bruises and it really hurts when jamie touches it.  jamie thinks it might be broken and might need some x-rays.  jamie goes to call an ambulance.
