I've just got smartly dressed in my black trousers, sheer pantyhose and ankle boots, when i take a fall and hurt my ankle. i can't take any weight on it at all; this is a disaster. fortunately, dr page, the friendly neighbourhood doctor is nearby. she helps me back onto my bed, eases my ankle boot off, and gives me the bad news; in order to bandage my ankle, she's going to need to cut off my tights and trousers! once that's done, she bandages my swollen ankle, and even takes off her own tan knee-high to use as a support stocking over the top of the bandage. not content with that, she cuts off my trousers and tights at my waist too, so she can check my pelvis and knees for bruising. finally, she helps me into another pair of tights and a long skirt, paired with a flat sneaker on the injured foot. dr page is so kind and skillful!
