Anticipation was high for this 'battle of the blondes' and we certainly weren't disappointed when they got their hands on one another! the two beauties met in the tight confines of the mats of doom room at monica's wrestling centre, and, as ever with such contests, this only added to the excitement! phiannix has an obvious height advantage, but galya has bags of experience under her belt, and she's shown just how talented she is in many matches against bigger ladies over the years. once they exchanged a polite pre-fight handshake, they wasted no time getting to the action and were soon battling all over the small arena. galya was quick off the blocks, and she had her bigger rival on the back foot almost immediately as she looked to clock up those all-important submissions. but phiannix was clearly not going to roll over easily and seemed determined to resist such attacks and get on the offensive herself. they battled hard and the grunts and groans that filled the air told us all we needed to know about the sheer effort both ladies were putting in. and they inflicted some serious, painful-looking holds along the way, too, as they fought for tapouts. they hit each other with head locks, ankle locks, body scissors, head scissors, camel clutches, arm bars, and combination holds - many of which brought the success that was craved. both phiannix and galya got themselves on the scoresheet as they fought long and hard in this terrific battle. but by the time the referee called time on the match, one of these warriors had emerged as the clear and obvious winner of this contest. and there was also clear and obvious respect between the two when it was all over!
