I was finally dressed and ready to leave to meet my friend. i checked my phone for any new texts, but she had only written that she had left the official's home. i got into my car thinking it would start easily, but instead it was even more difficult to start than earlier! flooring the pedal wasn’t working, so i began pumping consistently. why was it behaving like this now? i thought it might be flooded… but then i noticed my fuel gauge. was i nearly out of fuel too!? damn car! i cranked and pumped faster, desperate to get going. finally, after a very hard battle, the car reluctantly started, but even then i kept stalling several times as i tried rushing. i just hoped i could arrive on time!
