I've been so stressed lately. work, pressure, noise... it seems like nothing can calm me down. i've tried everything, from physical exercise to meditation. then i remembered something: "trying a cigarette..." might help. i've never smoked, but now i'm willing to try anything. i light it slowly, bring it to my lips, and take a deep breath. the smoke fills my lungs, and for the first time today, i feel my body starting to relax. each exhale is smoother, calmer. i don't cough as much. the frustration dissipates with the smoke. my lips wrap around the filter again, my eyes close, and i let out a silent sigh. it's strangely calming... and warm.
