It’s st. patrick’s day at bar ballbusters, and with the music going, drinks flowing, and the bar packed shoulder to shoulder, the night quickly turns into a nonstop rush at the counter. right in front of the bar, the resident “bar rug” becomes the most used spot in the room as guests casually step up while waiting to order. early in the night, caroline (5’6, 138 lbs) in her white coat and black boots leans forward at the counter, casually scrolling through her phone while shifting her stance as she waits for her drink before heading back to the party. as the hours pass, she returns more than once — sometimes stepping back into place while ordering, other times taking a seat nearby while she waits for her ride, briefly propping her feet up before eventually heading out for the night. later in the evening, tiffany (5’10, 210 lbs) steps up in her thick block-heeled boots, taking her time at the bar while waiting for a bottle. near closing time, she returns again for one final order, planting herself firmly at the counter as the music starts to fade and the crowd begins to thin. by the time the lights begin to come up, the st. patrick’s day rush is finally over — and after a full night stationed at the front of the bar, he manages to survive it… sore, exhausted, but still in one piece.
